Faith growth gets real when your body says stop but God says keep going. In this episode, Lauren shares how a sudden health crisis hit right as she was preparing to launch her micro school. One day life was normal. The next day she couldn't walk or speak, landed in the hospital, and still felt the Lord calling her to press forward.
Lauren opens up about the fear that it might not get better, especially after hearing the physical therapist say things might not return to normal. But she chose not to anchor herself to the word of man. She anchored to real faith and God's voice, believing this wasn't permanent.
We talk about the tension of recovery and obedience at the same time:
- rebuilding strength through physical therapy while still carrying a vision
- learning how to respond to flare-ups without panic
- recognizing triggers and going straight to prayer instead of spiraling
- shifting from pouring into everyone else to being more centered on her relationship with the Lord
Lauren also shares the simple anchors that carried her: "whom the Son sets free is free indeed," and "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," plus a worship lyric she kept on repeat: it's not over, it's not finished, it's only your beginning when God is in it.
And if you're stuck between what the world says is realistic and what God is calling you to believe, Lauren's story will meet you right there. She talks about starting staff pre-planning in prayer, setting the tone for alignment, and staying open to hearing God in unexpected ways, not just in sermons or from "churchy" people.
If you're in a season where circumstances feel like they're closing in, but you sense God calling you to rise anyway, this episode is for you. You're not behind. You're not disqualified. And God's plan is not stopped by a sudden detour.
