Now, I say that carefully because I know some of you are reading this with real grief in your chest. Hadassa spoke honestly about loss, widowhood, anxiety, infertility, and the hard work of learning to trust again. Trusting god in small details does not mean we pretend pain is small. It means we believe God is present in the pain, even when we do not understand His ways. There is another Scripture that meets me in this theme too. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight” (CSB). In all your ways. Start the day with connection before control Hadassa shared that she begins her day with time in God’s Word, journaling, prayer, and stillness. Not because it checks a box.
