I have planned myself into unnecessary stress by trying to solve a problem God had not asked me to solve. Carolyn shared that the Lord had warned her about presumption and impetuousness. She had to keep asking whether an opportunity was truly from God or simply something she wanted. That kind of honesty protects us. Our desires matter to God, but they still need to be surrendered to Him. Prayer is not a way to convince God to approve our plan. It is how we bring our plans into His presence and let Him adjust our hearts. It is not evidence that your purpose is paused. The Lord may be preparing you, positioning you, protecting you, or using you right where you are.
